Frequently Asked Questions

Is this tool free to use?

Yes, this tool is completely free with no limits on usage, no watermarks, and no registration required.

Do I need to create an account?

No account or registration is required. Simply upload your file and start processing immediately.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No, all processing happens locally in your browser. Your files never leave your device.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no strict limit since files are processed locally. However, very large files may be slower depending on your device.

Will the quality of my PDF be affected?

No, our tools preserve the original quality of your documents unless you specifically choose compression options.

What browsers are supported?

Our tools work best in modern browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

Why does macOS Finder still show a "Where from" field on my cleaned PDF?

The "Where from" field is not stored inside your PDF. macOS records the download source as a Finder attribute (an extended file attribute) on every file your browser downloads, from any website. The PDF itself is completely clean, and this attribute does not travel with the file when you email or upload it. To remove it locally, run xattr -d com.apple.metadata:kMDItemWhereFroms yourfile.pdf in Terminal.
